About VSRC
Brief Overview
After her research-focused dermatology and dermatopathology training in the USA, Dr. Vermén M. Verallo-Rowell founded Original Skin, Inc. in the 1970s (VSRC’s previous name) as an extension and support operation for her clinical practice to enable her to continue her clinical research, as she had already been an award-winning, published dermatologist. For decades, Dr. Verallo-Rowell — with and through VSRC — has practiced her specialties, created a highly successful bath-PUVA psoriasis treatment centre, and produced a large body of clinical research (of her own interests as well as for international pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies), many of which have been published and/or presented in global peer-reviewed journals, books, and dermatological conventions.

Through a partnership with VMV Hypoallergenics, VSRC has been modernised
as a comprehensive skin centre that provides excellent clinical care as well as
creative, innovative, ethical dermatological research, and educational support for
research-oriented physicians.
While VMV Hypoallergenics is a founding strategic partner, VSRC focuses on
patient care and dermatological research, not specific product endorsements —
which is why so much of VSRC’s work is done for other companies: VSRC was
created to push clinical care of the skin and dermatological research to an
ever-higher level of legitimacy, validity, creativity, and ethics.
Through our clinics, educational programs, and services, VSRC responds to
the research and clinical trial requirements of patients, dermatologists, and the
cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries. VSRC’s ultimate goal is to elevate
patient care through the benefits provided by properly-studied drugs, cosmetics,
and procedural practice.
